About Calvary Assembly
A Church Where Faith
Becomes Family.
Calvary Assembly is a smaller church with deep faith, genuine relationships, and room for people to belong, grow, and serve.
We are an Assemblies of God congregation serving Park City, north Wichita, and the surrounding community through biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, faithful prayer, and personal care. We want people to know Jesus and know they are not alone.
Who We Are
A Simple Church With a Clear Purpose
Calvary exists to help people know God, grow in His Word, pray with faith, build genuine relationships, and live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
Rooted in Scripture
The Bible shapes our preaching, beliefs, decisions, and daily lives.
Committed to Prayer
We seek God together and faithfully carry one another’s burdens.
Built on Relationships
People are known, valued, encouraged, and invited to participate.
Open to People
You do not need a perfect past or complete understanding to begin.
We are not trying to build a crowd. We want to help build faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
What We Believe and How We Live
Our Beliefs Are Not Just Words.
They Shape the Kind of Church We Are.
Calvary Assembly holds to historic Christian truth and the fellowship of the Assemblies of God. We believe biblical doctrine should produce faithful worship, compassionate relationships, sincere prayer, and lives centered on Jesus Christ.
The Church We Want to Be
A Place Where Truth and Love Belong Together
We believe the church should be more than a weekly meeting. It should be a spiritual family where people worship God, learn His Word, pray together, carry one another’s burdens, and grow into faithful followers of Jesus.
Calvary values biblical conviction without coldness, spiritual passion without pressure, and genuine relationships without pretense.
We want people to encounter the presence of God, understand the truth of Scripture, and know they have a church family willing to walk beside them.
What This Looks Like
Five Commitments That Shape Calvary
We Teach the Bible
Scripture provides the foundation for belief, character, decision-making, and spiritual growth.
We Worship God Sincerely
Worship is centered on Jesus and offered with gratitude, reverence, joy, and spiritual freedom.
We Pray With Faith
We bring needs before God, seek His direction, and believe He still hears and answers prayer.
We Care for People
People are not projects. They are valued, heard, prayed for, encouraged, and invited to belong.
We Serve Beyond Ourselves
The church is called to share the gospel, serve the community, and help others discover hope in Christ.
Our Core Beliefs
The Truths at the Center of Our Faith
These summaries introduce several foundational beliefs. They are not intended to replace the complete Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths.
The Bible
We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and provide the trustworthy foundation for Christian faith, truth, and conduct.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, crucified for our sins, raised from the dead, and Lord of all.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active today, giving power for Christian living, witness, worship, and ministry.
Prayer and Healing
We believe God invites His people to pray and that divine healing remains part of His compassionate work in the world.
Water Baptism
We believe followers of Jesus should be baptized in water as a public declaration of faith and identification with Christ.
Communion
We observe the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and as a declaration of our continuing faith in Him.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship, make disciples, serve people, and proclaim the gospel.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return, evil will be judged, and God’s people will share eternal life with Him.
Calvary Assembly is part of the Assemblies of God.
Our church shares the biblical and Pentecostal beliefs of the Assemblies of God fellowship. The complete Statement of Fundamental Truths provides a fuller explanation of these doctrines.

Our Story
Faithful Through the Years.
Hopeful About What Comes Next.
Calvary Assembly’s story is not only about a building, a date, or a church name. It is the story of people who continued to worship, pray, serve, and trust God through changing seasons. That same faith continues today.
More Than a Church Building
A Continuing Story of Faithfulness
Calvary Assembly has served Park City and the surrounding area as part of the Assemblies of God fellowship. Through every season, the church has remained centered on worship, prayer, Scripture, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Like many smaller churches, Calvary has experienced seasons of growth, transition, challenge, and renewal. Yet people continued to gather, believe, serve, and carry the work forward.
Today, Calvary is not attempting to recreate another church’s identity. It is building from the strengths God has already placed here: deep faith, personal relationships, pastoral care, prayer, and room for people to make a difference.
The future of Calvary will be built with the same faithfulness that carried the church through every previous season.
The Story Continues
From Faithful Roots to a Renewed Future
Calvary’s story can be understood through four continuing commitments rather than a collection of dates.
People Gathered Around Jesus
Calvary began and continued because believers valued worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
God’s Word Remained Central
Generations have gathered to hear Scripture taught, strengthen their faith, and learn how to follow Christ.
People Carried One Another
The church became a place where people celebrated, grieved, prayed, served, and walked through life together.
Calvary Is Moving Forward
The church is preparing to welcome new people, strengthen its ministry, and serve the Park City community with fresh purpose.
Calvary’s strongest chapters may still be ahead.
The church is looking forward with prayer, humility, and expectation. Calvary wants to reach people who need Christ, welcome those searching for a church home, and create meaningful opportunities for people to belong and serve.
Preserve What Matters
Calvary will continue protecting biblical truth, sincere worship, faithful prayer, and the personal relationships that make the congregation special.
Welcome New People
Calvary wants visitors, neighbors, families, senior adults, and people returning to church to find a sincere welcome and room to belong.
Serve the Community
The church desires to become increasingly visible, helpful, and connected to the practical and spiritual needs of Park City.
There is room for you in Calvary’s continuing story.
Your presence, prayers, experience, and willingness to serve can help strengthen what God is building here.
